Ski Bowl Distillery
A tasting room and bottle shop in a rebuilt barn at 8 Ordway Lane — at the top of Main Street, where the road comes in from the mountain.
We're making schnapps, because schnapps is what you actually want after a cold day and nobody within two hours is making it. One clean base spirit, then the flavours the Adirondacks give up — raspberry, apple, grape. Small runs, poured across a tasting counter built out of the old railroad, and taken home in a bottle.

What we're building
A tasting counter built out of the old railroad.
The Delaware & Hudson brought the first skiers here in 1934. Its shield is going into the back of the tasting counter — yellow and blue, under lacquer — and the boards above it will run train arrivals that stopped arriving sixty years ago.
- Tasting room and retail — the front of the barn, opening onto the street. Tastings and bottles to take home; this is a shop, not a bar.
- Working distillery — the production floor behind it, visible from the bar.
- Warming hut across the courtyard at 6 Ordway — snacks, hot drinks, and somewhere to put your gloves.
- Thursday to Sunday through the season — Thanksgiving weekend through Presidents' Week, weather permitting into early March.
